GTA 6 surprise teasers have taken fans over the edge

What do the numbers mean, Mason?!

A few Rockstar Games employees have been posting stuff online that’s getting the Grand Theft Auto VI fanbase excited, but is there actually anything to it or is the r/GTA6 subreddit just tilting at windmills?

These posts come from a few different folks who work at Rockstar Games, the most notable of which is from @Reckope over on Twitter.

Joe is one Rockstar Games’ mission designers for Grand Theft Auto VI, which is why a lot of folks on the r/GTA6 subreddit are taking his rather innocuous-looking merch post to heart.

Now on the surface, there really doesn’t appear to be much to this. It’s just a fancy-looking Rockstar Games branded t-shirt and what I think is an umbrella.

So why has this sent the community over the edge? Is it the cat in the background? The Rockstar bag? Whatever that orange thing is?

Nope, it’s that little piece of paper at the bottom of the screen… which has, as per usual, sent the conspiracy theorists into full-blown overdrive.

In a thread titled “Secret/bait messages in the mission designers's post?” over on the r/GTA6 subreddit, folks have been trying to decipher if there’s any meaning to what’s scrawled on that note.

“Either delusional but I see booking 1227 (27 december) which is tomorrow in a week on a Friday for Europe,” replied user Professional_Emu1644.

Unfortunately, I think there’s a far more realistic explanation for all of this.

I reckon that note has absolutely nothing to do with the bloody game and it’s probably just something this poor Rockstar employee jotted down so he wouldn’t forget it.

But hey, if we do just randomly get a trailer two days after Christmas then I’ll be more than willing to admit I was wrong.

Until then though, let these poor folks enjoy their Christmas merch in peace.
