Steam drops 4 free games to kick off your week

Better yet, a couple of these actually look half-decent

Four free games can be yours to download on Steam, and all you gotta do is login and hit claim to add them to your library.

As always, thank you in advance to the Free Steam Games Twitter account for collating all of these free titles!

So, I’m going to list these from what I believe to be the worst to the best, but with the added caveat that I haven’t actually played any of the titles on this list. The ranking is purely vibes-based on my behalf, so feel free to absolutely disregard my opinion and go with your gut.

First up, Monsters, Briefcase and Road from developer and publisher Waqudoo. This one looks like a little side-scrolling beat 'em up, and it looks fine. However, there is one little reason I'm putting this one so low down.

I can’t really tell you how it plays or even how it looks, because the screenshots on the Steam page are a little vague, and also… it’s not technically out yet.

It’s supposed to drop today, by the sounds of things at least, but it isn’t actually on the Steam storefront yet. Assumedly this is some kind of timezone-related thing. Check back in a few hours to see if it’s possible to claim.

Next up, Rainbow Crown from developer and publisher 青影TK. It's a 2D side-scrolling shooter, and it looks half-decent (if a little basic).

Reviews are looking a bit 50/50 on this one however, so I’d suggest giving it a go yourself to get the full picture. Be warned that it doesn’t seem to be in English, so I hope that it can be transversed without the need to understand any dialogue.

Here's a fun looking one: InspoQuest from developer and publisher Trust This Mechanism Games.

One reviewer describes it as “Bit Trip runner but instead of amazing music you get American Eagle in the mall music”, and that’s enough to convince me that this one is worth trying.

And finally, Mr. Photographer - Into The Light from developer Koray Birand and published Art+Ist Digital.

It’s basically a Mario-style platformer, except it’s extra goofy and there’s a silly picture taking mechanic to it. Reviews are super positive, and it looks like dorky fun. Definitely worth a shot.

And that’s the whole list. See you back here in a few days for even more Steam freebies.
