GTA 6 Meets The Sims in New Game Headed to Consoles

Some console owners will be waiting a little longer than others though...

If you’re excited to get your hands on a new The Sims game, I have some bad news for you. But, if you’re excited to get your hands on a game that’s a lot like The Sims, then I have some great news for you.

Alright, let’s start with the bad news: you’re never getting a new The Sims game ever again.

In case you missed it, earlier this month Electronic Arts’ Entertainment President outright stated that a follow up to The Sims 4 is “not a good idea for our community”, and that the publisher has no plans for a sequel.

Of course, there is a new Sims-like game on the market that could fill that The Sims 5-sized hole in your life, but it’s only on PC… right?

I am of course referring to inZOI, the 2025 life sim published by Krafton Inc. It received relatively decent reviews on Steam at release, but there was one glaring issue; you need an absolute beast of a PC to run it.

Thankfully, that’s all about to change. Well, the PC specs for the game aren’t getting any lower, but it is getting a console port at least.

As revealed on the official inZOI website earlier this week, the devs are hard at work on a PlayStation 5 port for the game, which they have announced will launch at some point in 2026.

Obviously it costs a hell of a lot less to buy a PS5 than it does to purchase a PC that’s actually capable of running the game, so this great news for anyone who needs a new Sims-esque fix.

But, what about a Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X port? The inZOI team stated in the same post that Xbox ports are “also under consideration” but have “not yet been confirmed”, so it sounds like you lot might be waiting until 2027 for that one.

Maybe EA will reconsider the whole no Sims 5 thing if this new game manages to get off the ground.
