Grand Theft Auto VI may not be set for release for another year but according to one insider, some planned content has already been cut and fans are feeling disappointed.

It is just under a year to go until we finally get our hands on Grand Theft Auto VI.

Originally scheduled for a Fall 2025 release, the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series was delayed for another year but as a way to apologise, Rockstar recently released the second official trailer for the highly-anticipated title.

Giving us more insight into what we can expect, including Jason and Lucia’s Bonnie and Clyde-esque adventure and the state of Leonida and surrounding areas, fans were as excited as ever to dive into what can only be described as the most anticipated game of the past decade.

However, according to one insider, some content has already been cut from Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of its launch.

The insider, who is best known for leaking the surnames of Jason and Lucia before they were revealed in the second official trailer, has taken to Discord to share some information about the game, including some content that has been scrapped over time.

Shared over on r/GTA6, the Discord screenshots from user GameRoll revealed quite a few tidbits of information about GTA VI.

He revealed that the game will feature a “switch wheel”, allowing you to cycle between Jason and Lucia as well as the ability to freeroam with both of them.

The switch wheel was a feature back in Grand Theft Auto V, allowing players to switch between Michael, Franklin and Trevor, but being able to freeroam with both characters at the same time is new.

“So basically they’re companions,” he explained. “Two at the same time, that you can switch between”.

He was then asked about the robbery system to which he replied, “No burglaries, but there’s a lot of stores. Like a lot.”

GameRoll then claims that his source has revealed the addition of “elevators in certain skyscrapers” which matches the fan theory of many interiors being unlocked to players.

He also confirms that male strippers will exist and that dual wielding “was never planned” by Rockstar despite rumours.

However, one feature that reportedly got cut was the ability to go prone as the entire dynamic cover system “was complete ass”.

“Apparently the dynamic cover system (like TLOU 2 and what we briefly see in the leaks) was complete ASS,” he explained.

“So it’s good they cut it and returned back to a button.”

Last but not least, GameRoll reveals that there will be 700+ stores around the map and that GTA VI itself will feature five separate chapters of story.

This is a lot to take in and of course, should all be taken with a pinch of salt but it wasn’t long before fans came forward with their thoughts.

“I'm very disappointed that warehouse sex robots are cut,” the top comment read.

Truly a sad day.
