Starfield and Metroid fans may want to keep an eye on this upcoming game that looks like a blend of the two.

Tellus: Echo of the Void is an upcoming adventure game where you adapt a barren world to sustain human life, with sci-fi elements that are evocative of both Starfield and Metroid.

In it, you explore different environments which range from barren deserts to crystalline caves, all while facing extreme weather conditions, limited resources, and dangerous threats. As you do this, you build up a base from nothing, making decisions which shape the planet’s transformation.

Tellus: Echo Of The Void Has A Free Demo Available On Steam

No release date has been announced yet, but if you’d like to check the game out for yourself, you can do so by downloading the demo from Steam.

The free demo offers a small vertical slice of the game for you to try, and there are several features already available. For starters, you’ll get to try out the terraforming feature, in which you can build various items and structures to breathe life into the planet’s hostile terrain.

During the demo, Level 2 Terraforming can be reached, which allows you new tools to see clear skies and more easily explore the planet.

Speaking of which, the demo features several unique points of interest, like ancient structures and alien artifacts. It also features a few locations that has technology to help you craft new machines and equipment.

The technology included in the demo are all Tier 1 machines, allowing you to create your own base with a limited number of options. This includes the ability to upgrade your inventory space as well as your mining laser so you can start automating a lot of the resource gathering.

In the meantime, the Tellus: Echo of the Void demo also includes some challenges for you to conquer, like surviving meteor showers. The full game will also feature solar flares and other celestial dangers. While they’re menacing, they can also provide you with resources.
