When you wake up in the morning there are a few things guaranteed in life. One, you’ll need to use the toilet ASAP. Two, you’ll make yourself a cup of tea or coffee. Three, there will be a new round of GTA VI rumours.

Honestly, at this point, it wouldn't be surprising if we’re all numb to the seemingly never-ending stream of rumours and apparent leaks to the next entry of Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series. Yet, while Rockstar Games continues to provide no substantial update on the development of GTA VI, that rumour mill will continue to spin.

Check out our GTA VI rumour roundup video below!

Rockstar Games first announced that Grand Theft Auto VI was in development back in February 2022, following a series of unfortunate gameplay leaks. However, it’s been reported that GTA VI has been in development since long before that time. If rumours are true, GTA VI may have actually been in development for around 10 years and may have been rebooted more than once.

The latest batch of rumours is in relation to its character customisation and if the speculation is to be believed, it seems that GTA VI might be taking a page out of GTA: San Andrea’s book. In 2004’s GTA: San Andreas you could not only customise CJ’s hair and clothing, but his body shape would also change depending on your fitness activities (or lack of) and what or how much food you consumed. Arguably, we’ve not seen that level of character detail in the GTA series since.

As shared in a Reddit post by user vaspinbreak1, they have scouted the many leaks, rumours and apparent patents to compile a handy list of Grand Theft Auto VI details. In that list, it claims that character customisation in GTA VI will be similar to the aforementioned GTA: San Andreas with the player being able to change Jason and Lucia's (the rumoured protagonists) tan, hair and even body type ranging from skinny to muscular.

Obviously, these rumours haven't been confirmed by Rockstar Games, but considering some of these features date back to 2004, it wouldn't be surprising if there were some truth behind them.

At this time we do not have a release date for Grand Theft Auto VI, but it is expected to be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S sometime between 2024 and 2025.
