A new GTA VI-inspired trailer has dropped, and I can guarantee it’s not what you are expecting.
The next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar Games is without question one of the most highly anticipated games in years, perhaps even more so than 2013’s GTA V.
“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” reads the synopsis of GTA VI.
“But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

There is so much hype surrounding GTA VI, which is less than a year away from its big launch, that every corporation’s cat and dog will attempt to capitalise on it, and the car manufacturer Ford is no exception.
As brought to our attention by the Twitter account ‘GTA 6 Countdown’, thanks to a collaboration with the content creator 'Elz the Witch', Ford has released a new trailer to advertise its newly revived Capri. The trailer in question is inspired by the first GTA VI trailer released in December 2023.

Unfortunately, this new Ford Capri bears no resemblance to the iconic low-slung, two-door coupé manufactured between 1968 to 1986.
Instead, we have a coupé-styled fully-electric SUV that looks like most modern SUVs and does not resemble the original Capri whatsoever, and it certainly doesn't inspire me to splash out over £40k on the car (not that I’d ever have that kind of money).
What’s more, it looks like we’re getting a new Ford Capri before we play GTA VI, and yes, I just went there.
Even still, pricey cars aside, it is pretty cool to watch a glimpse at what a live-action Vice City might look like ... or I suppose I could just visit Miami.

At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI has a release date of 26 May 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. That’s assuming it suffers no additional delay.
