This GTA 6 trailer is totally better than the original from Rockstar Games

Unless you’ve been in hibernation over the last week or so, then the chances are that you’re aware of the first official trailer of GTA VI making the rounds across social media.

Within its first 24 hours of being uploaded to the Rockstar Games YouTube channel, the GTA VI trailer had annihilated a views record previously held by MrBeast. Now, at the time of writing, the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI sits at a whopping 140 million in just over six days and counting.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

Naturally, excitement for the next entry of the Grand Theft Auto series is through the roof and that hype will only intensify as we get closer to its 2025 release. That being said, not everyone is as excited about the release of GTA VI as we are. Take for example the ex-criminal dubbed the “Florida Joker” who believes he’s entitled to up to $2 million as a result of Rockstar Games parodying his likeness in the recent trailer. Put it this way, if Lindsey Lohan couldn't sue Rockstar Games, the “Florida Joker” real name Lawrence Sullivan perhaps stands even less of a chance to rinse money out of the giant video game developer.

Getting back to the topic of the GTA VI trailer, it was packed with so many pop culture references, that it’s difficult to keep track of. Thankfully, our 12 incredible GTA VI details you may have missed has you covered. So given all the hype surrounding the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, no one could do it better than Rockstar Games, right? Well, this alternative trailer is arguably better than the original.

The alternate GTA VI trailer in question has been gloriously recreated as if we’re living in the original PlayStation era and to be honest, I want this version of GTA VI right now! The trailer uploaded to the YouTube channel Jushton may only be just over 20 seconds in length, but it’s no less epic. However, I swear at 17 seconds into the trailer, that’s Vaas of Far Cry 3 on a jet ski!

No release date has been announced for Grand Theft Auto VI, but we do know that it will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. At the time of writing, a PC release hasn't been announced, but we’re sure that will arrive at a later date.
