A sequel to the hit historical RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance could be revealed at E3 in just a few short days. Fans have started to piece together a number of clues online that suggest that a live countdown is set to end with a first-look at a follow-up to the 2018 game.

Developed by Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was a first-person RPG for hardcore history buffs. Instead of dragons and fantasy realms, Warhorse Studios put players in the shoes of a lowly peasant tasked with surviving in the early 15th century. It might not have been everyone's cup of tea, but it was a fresh take on the Skyrim-style open-world RPG formula that won over a bunch of fans.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance certainly performed well enough at the time to warrant a sequel. Now, Reddit has followed a series of clues that suggest a medieval sequel is inevitable. Last week, Deep Silver confirmed that parent company Koch Media would have games and announcements to share at the Summer Game Fest on June 10, but confirmed that Metro and Dead Island would not be present.

It also pointed users to an intriguing "We know something you don't know" website containing a livestream of an office with a timer counting down to tomorrow's event. A number of clues have slowly been added to the shelf next to the desk in the office. If you head there now, you'll see a crown and a mace prominently displayed: two things we'd all associate with Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Lastly, Warhorse itself has also been hinting it has something in the works. The studio's internal PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling tweeted out that this week will be "packed", while the official Warhorse Twitter has been liking a lot of tweets from fans recently asking about a sequel.

I feel fairly confident something Kingdom Come-shaped is headed our way. Watch this space - we'll update you as soon as we learn more.
