An Incredibly ‘Crazy Taxi’-Inspired Game Is Coming Out In Early 2021

To be this good already took SEGA

Taxi Chaos is, unashamedly and brilliantly, a new Crazy Taxi-alike - and it's coming out for a variety of platforms in early 2021.

What's more, as reported by Nintendo Life, there's even a tenuous connection between this new arcade-inspired title and the makers of the classic Crazy Taxi, SEGA. Taxi Chaos will be distributed in Japan and Korea by SEGA. There's something quite harmonious about that, I feel.

Check out the (very brief, but you get the idea) announcement trailer, below.

Taxi Chaos is co-developed by Team6 Game Studios, GS2 Games and Lion Castle, and will be published by Mindscape in Europe. It'll be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on February 23rd, 2021.

The game's official website offers some information on how Taxi Chaos plays - like it's really necessary, as we all remember what Crazy Taxi was like. It reads:

"Rush through town to deliver your crazy customers. Take crazy risks, discover the best shortcuts and do whatever it takes to race the clock." Yep, sure sounds familiar. And NGL, we're totally here for it.

Taxi Chaos will let players select from a pair of drivers, Leo and Vinny, while passengers will include reporters, plumbers, and many more "extravagant and colourful citizens", spread all over New Yellow City. Get 'em to where they need to go fast, for maximum fares. Sounds like a giggle, albeit one we've had before, so count us in.

In other Crazy Taxi-related news - or rather, wishes - SEGA, the Dreamcast Mini, come on, now.
