Fallout New Vegas Is Free For Millions Right Now, How To Claim

I could stand on a little box and spend all day telling people why they should play Fallout New Vegas, and why it may well still be the best game the storied post-apocalyptic series has ever produced.

Released all the way back in 2010, it was the first and only Fallout project to be developed by Obsidian Entertainment, who need absolutely no further introduction when it comes to making standout RPG titles.

Whilst it doesn't have the settlement building of Fallout 4, or quite as killer a soundtrack as Fallout 3, as a game to play through, it covers every base brilliantly, from tight gunplay to a high-stakes story that takes in every inch of the Mojave wasteland.

So if you somehow haven't managed to play it over the last decade and a half, I really recommend that you do, and it might be a very good opportunity, with the game available for free, for many.

If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, you should be able to pick up a selection of free games each month at no extra cost on your subscription, as part of the Prime Gaming initiative.

Well this month includes Fallout New Vegas as one of its available offerings, and it's available to download and keep for free right now via GOG, if you're signed up to Amazon Prime. In even better news, it's the Ultimate Edition, so you'll get every piece of post release content as part of the deal.

Specifically, that includes four story DLCs of various sizes - Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. All of them are solid efforts in their own right, but Honest Hearts introduces one of the coolest characters in any Fallout game, so that's my pick for the best one to play overall.

If that's not enough Fallout fun for you, the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 is also available as part of the same offer. Rounding out the full list of Prime games for October is DragonStrike, Vampire: The Masquerade — Reckoning of New York, Tormented Souls, EMPTY SHELL, True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1, XCOM® 2, Hellslave, True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 2, Lost & Found Agency Collector’s Edition, You Will Die Here Tonight, Werewolf: The Apocalypse — Heart of the Forest and Halloween Stories: Horror Movie Collector’s Edition.

A pretty bumper month overall for a great service, if you're already subscribed to Amazon Prime anyway.
