Ghost Rider is easily Marvelâs best character, and thatâs not up for debate. Ryan Gosling is finally set to bring the character to the MCU in 2028âs Ghost Rider film.
Technically, Agents of Shield already did that but Marvel appears to be continuing its tradition of pretending that show never existed.
Unfortunately, there arenât any new Ghost Rider games on the horizon, the last being 2007âs simply titled Ghost Rider.
But the character has just been added to Rockstar Gamesâ open-world RPG Red Dead Redemption 2 in whatâs one of the coolest mods Iâve played this year.

Created by NexusMods user 4izenX, âWestern Ghost Riderâ is so much more than a simple Arthur Morgan aesthetic overhaul.
That is part of it, but the mod also transforms your horse and wagon, with related effects extending to your weapons too.
All you have to do is press â7â on your keyboard once the mod is installed, youâll fully transform into Ghost Rider.
Burning flames and smoke will spill from your body, with your horse also donning flames from its mane, face, hooves, and tail.
Riding your horse leaves a very nice burning trail behind you with effects transferring over should you swap your steed.
All horses mounted while transformed into Ghost Rider unlock fire and explosion protection as well as infinite stamina, which is a nice touch, as well as settings that suppress fear responses as itâs now you that is to be feared.
The experience is very similar when riding a wagon whichâll also emit flames and smoke when in use, with a trail of embers running behind you.

The player character also secured fire and explosion protection, and can benefit from bonus damage inflicted when using a flaming lasso.
The mod also introduces the infamous Penance Stare which allows you to lock onto a visible human target within 18 metres, although the mechanic does work on a short cooldown.

A new, official Ghost Rider game doesnât feel very likely at the moment
It would be nice to see Ghost Rider missions added in future updates to this mod, but the atmosphere it already builds is impressive.
Thereâs room for improvement. Walking past an enemy, I noticed, doesnât inflict any fire damage but if you run past NPCs while using a horse mount or wagon, those in your way will trigger the effect and catch fire, so a little consistency would be nice.
Again, though, Iâm being picky. Itâs perhaps unlikely that Ghost Rider is going to get an official game anytime soon, even if the new MCU film does eventually thrust the character back into the spotlight.
Marvelâs Wolverine didnât go down all that well, Marvelâs Blade is on the precipice of being cancelled, and while Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is on the way in 2027, the lack of updates surrounding the game still concerns me.
So if youâre looking for a quick something thatâll scratch the Ghost Rider itch, leave behind Arthur Morgan and transform into this anti-hero.
