Fallout 4 came out 10 years ago, all the way back in 2015. The world has become a very different place since then so why lose yourself in the wastelands to escape it?
If that sounds like a nice idea don’t just jump blindly into a new playthrough, because you’ve got options.
Those of us who primarily play on PlayStation and Xbox are slightly more limited but if you’ve got a PC you can take full advantage of an ever-expanding suite of mods to make your game better.

For example, take a look at this ultra-modded gameplay which uses over 1,100 mods to improve the game both visually and in gameplay.
You’d obviously need a decent bit of hardware to make this work but if you’ve got it you might as well use it right?
You can see what the full mod list is online but the gist of it is plenty of mods that enhance the textures, lighting and other graphics.
If you’re playing on Xbox or PlayStation you unfortunately won’t have access to the majority of these, but you can enhance your game in a different way like through additional items, new quests, etc.

There’s really no limit to what you can do, and it’s arguably much better than playing the vanilla version of Fallout 4.
It’s not like there’s anything else to play right now, as Fallout 76, as heavily updated as it is, is still better as an online game for the most part. That leaves Fallout 5 as the next, proper, singleplayer Fallout game and God knows when we’re going to see it.
While you’re waiting though go ahead and boot up Fallout 4 again, it’s a great game yet it feels weirdly slept on nowadays, probably due to how good Fallout: New Vegas is.
