Fallout 4's 'darkest' secret is one you probably missed

Disturbing...

Fallout 4 has a disturbingly dark secret that you probably missed while wandering the wasteland.

To be fair Fallout in general is a dark series, as it’s a series based around an alternate timeline where the world was destroyed by nuclear warfare, killing billions of its inhabitants and transforming millions more into mutants, ghouls and other bizarre creatures.

Don’t think about any of that though, just slap on your radio and cause some chaos in Fallout 4 instead

Fallout 4 dived a little deeper into the horror of Fallout’s world with several locations housing dark secrets.

Fans have shared plenty of these secrets over the years, and despite the age of some of these threads plenty of the replies will feel brand-new due to the information they share.

Take this one for example, which informs players of an unmarked location near Diamond City, where you can find “a sewer passage that was a serial killer’s hideout where he displays his murder victims.”

A link was provided to the wiki page for the location, so if you fancy tracking it down for yourself in the game go right ahead.

Some other honourable mentions include the Museum Of Witchcraft you can find in the game, as well as the Saw-esque murder maze in Milton Parking Garage, but the really messed up stuff is often found in notes and terminals so keep an eye out for them while you’re playing.

Possibly the most messed up bit of Fallout lore is the origin of the Deathclaws, as it’s believed they were genetically engineered as weapons before escaping containment, breeding and becoming the terror of the wasteland they’re known as today.

So far the Fallout TV series has done a good job of bringing more attention to the horror of the Fallout world, and hopefully that continues in the second season.
