Multiple New Halo Games Just Leaked, Brace Yourselves

Halo could finally be making the jump to PlayStation

It seems a long time ago that Halo was in its halcyon days, when Master Chief was kicking doors in and slapping Grunts across the room at will. Those days could be about to return and then some, if recent leaks and rumours are to be believed.

The big conversation point for fans of the series right now relates to the possibility of the Halo series finally making its debut on PlayStation consoles. According to Rebs Gaming, who has previously been responsible for several reliable leaks via their source Grunt.api, a new Halo title with PlayStation compatibility has been discovered in the API.

This was evidenced further by the supposed game being linked to PlayFab, a backend service related to cross-platform progression.

The potential fun doesn't stop there though, with a second title and a separate beta also seemingly on the way if the data is to be believed.

The first of those games is thought to be the long-awaited multiplayer release know as Project Ekur, supposedly under the developmental guidance of Certain Affinity. The beta in question could therefore be for Projekt Ekur, with the mystery second title being a separate full release, the likes of which we usually see in the Halo Series

Reaction to the leaks was predictably positive over on Reddit, with one saying, "I think it's nice to know that we're in an era of gaming now where these exclusivity walls are starting to come down. Surely with the expenses associated with game development constantly rising, this is a logical choice?"

Others thought we might be waiting a while to get our hands on it, saying, "New Halo multiplayer game sounds interesting. With Gears of War Reloaded, Helldivers 2 on xbox, Battlefield 6, Arc Raiders, and Black Ops 7, I'd be surprised if Halo tried to compete this year in the multiplayer space because it's already very busy."

Whatever they do turn out to be, it would take a real curmudgeon to be disappointed in the arrival of new Halo games. If they do release on multiple platforms, we'll have more people to play with than ever.
