In a year full to the brim with incredible game releases, it is the unfortunate truth that some flew under the radar. That is definitely the case for one RPG that has gone on to become one of 2023’s best-reviewed RPGs since it was released earlier this month.

It is safe to say that 2023 was one of the best gaming years we have had in a long time with titles such as Baldur’s Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2 fighting it out for the coveted title of Game of the Year. However, with the year dying down and a new year fast approaching, December game releases tend to fly under the radar despite being equally as deserving of praise.

Check out our Elder Scrolls VI wishlist below!

That is the case for Asgard’s Wrath 2, a Meta Quest VR title that is currently sitting at a 8.9 user score on Metacritic with a 94 Metascore. As a sequel to 2019’s Asgard’s Wrath, it is being hailed as one of the “most impressive showcases for a VR headset” ever. Featuring a peek at the open-world we could see in Elder Scrolls 6 and the combat we know and love in Assassin's Creed, Asgard’s Wrath 2 is not one to miss out on.

The VR RPG sees you take on the role of a Norse god who must travel across the realms to pursue the Trickster God Loki who is threatening to undo the very threads of the universe. However, it is not an easy journey and the blood-thirsty title will see you battling gods and monsters alike alongside legendary Egyptian gods.

With physics-based, visceral combat, you will fight deadly warriors and awe-inspiring mythological creatures with an arsenal of unique weapons. How you fight is up to you but with the ability to possess mortal warriors and even bring animals to your side, you are unstoppable.

Explore an open-world shrouded in myth, take on mind-bending puzzles and face the Trickster God himself all in Asgard’s Wrath 2. Additionally, if you want to treat yourself to a Meta Quest 3 this Christmas, this incredible RPG will come free with your purchase.
