Elden Ring: Nightreign really has become the primary port of call for FromSoftware goodness these days, as the regular updates keep the experience fresh for players who have seen everything the original Elden Ring and Dark Souls has to offer.
As a multiplayer-focused game, the onus really is on the developer to keep adding to the overall package in order to keep players online, so the community stays healthy enough to keep the game alive.
The latest big step in that process was the release of the Forsaken Hollows DLC on 3 December, which brought two additional Nightfarers for players to enjoy, as well as additional bosses, Shifting Earth and a ton of gameplay changes under the hood designed to maintain the game's excellent approach to balancing.
Now, another update is on the way, and whilst it isn't a DLC in its own right, it's a sizeable set of changes that existing players will absolutely want to be aware of.

As first reported by IGN, Elden Ring: Nightreign's Update 1.03.1 is on the way and it's making some key balancing changes, as well as adding some additional content to a Forsaken Hollows DLC that many felt was a little bit lacking in that department.
Those who own the DLC already will immediately notice new targets, landmarks, raid events, and Shifting Earth when playing the genuinely very difficult Deep of Night mode.
Outside of a ton of bug fixes, the developer has also confirmed the following balance changes:
