Fans have been flocking to Elden Ring: Nightreign since its release only a few days ago, and pretty much the entire player base agrees on one thing: the game should have had an option for two players.
While we enjoyed our time with Elden Ring: Nightreign, it’s clear the game was designed to be played by squads of three.
Yes, it can be played solo, but you have to be a very good soulslike player to succeed and achieve enough wins to see the credits roll.

Not every player has the option of tagging in two friends to join them on the hunt for the Night Lords, and the complaints have been very loud.
Enter Luke Yui, a celebrated modder for several soulslike titles, including Elden Ring. Luke is the mastermind behind the seamless co-op mod for that game and Sekiro.
It took Yui less that a couple of days to get the seamless co-op mod working for Elden Ring: Nightreign, allowing the game to be played with just two people.
Of course, this means it’s only available on PC, as console modding is not possible, but it does mean that PC players now have the option that many believe should have been included by FromSoft.

Yui uploaded the mod to Nexus Mods, noting, “This mod will be expanded on in the future. For now, it only includes the following: two and three player lobbies.”
Further down the page, Yui continues, saying, “There will be more to come, but whilst the current game lacks two-player modes, this mod will be available in this state.”
It’s worth pointing out that using this mod won’t get you banned by FromSoft, as long as you don’t tweak the mod in order to play with vanilla players.
Whether FromSoft decides to add two-player support in the future is uncertain, so until then, this mod is your ticket to play.
