Overstimulated players may not want to return to Night City in this latest Cyberpunk 2077 update. However, for those of you who relish the intensity of city living, you'll undoubtedly be eager to immerse yourselves in the vibrancy once more.

It’s fair to argue that Cyberpunk 2077 is a treat for the senses. Yet, with this surprise update, players will find themselves questioning if they’ve not somehow slipped into the fictional world of Night City for real.

Once we finished Phantom Liberty, the fear was that the now acclaimed game was complete. After all, much of the CD Projekt Red team has since moved over to The Witcher 4.

But here we are, breathing in a new update that will change the very beat of the thriving environment.

Embody, a company “dedicated to advancement of spatial audio technology for all media”, has partnered with CDPR to deliver the ‘Immerse Gamepack Cyberpunk 2077’.

In the words of CDPR’s lead sound designer, Krzysztof Popiel, “After hearing the way our game sounds with Immerse, I can’t go back.”

That’s quite the accolade from someone who worked on the game.

A demo of the pack already has fans hooked; as YouTube user @Leobreacker said, “I'm a sucker for upgrades like these. Nice.”

“This sounds incredible! All we need now is an official VR version, and we can move into Night City for good,” commented @EpicFetchQuest.

Should you be part of the minority yet to play Cyberpunk 2077, and still need some incentive, what if we told you it explores LGBTQIA+ stories? Celebrate Pride Month in style with the help of this game, and many other tales that champion diversity.

The Immerse x Cyberpunk 2077 update will launch on 20 June; our ears are soon to be humming with the hustle and bustle of Night City like never before.
