Cyberpunk 2077 has a secret NPC that you've definitely met somewhere before

Cyberpunk 2077 has a secret NPC that you've definitely met somewhere before

Wait, that NPC looks familiar

Have you played Cyberpunk 2077 and got the feeling you’ve seen a certain NPC before? You can’t recall from where, but their face is familiar.

Well, you’re not imagining it – you really have seen this NPC elsewhere.

Once you’ve finished learning what one Cyberpunk 2077 player found at the bottom of the ocean, you can move on to this gem of a secret so many have missed.

Let's remind ourselves of the beauty of Cyberpunk 2007: Phantom Liberty

As revealed by Twitter account @Marcin360, “In one of the side quests in Cyberpunk 2077, you can actually meet a familiar Max-Tac agent who is the main character of our initial teaser trailer released in 2013.”

Say what?

It seems we’re not alone in being shocked by this new tidbit of information about CD Projekt Red’s beloved title.

“Loved meeting her in 2077, it adds an interesting perspective to cyberpsychosis,” tweeted @kalaelizabeth.

Others, while also surprised by this easily missed detail, lamented over the small role the NPC ends up playing.

@Bilburnn commented, “Really wish she had a bigger role, but it was still a neat easter egg.”

Of course, not everyone played down their disappointment.

One user said, “Woulda been cool if you actually did more content with Max-Tac. Seems so boring that you teased this lady for seven years and all she did was get a 10 mins Easter egg, waste of an opportunity to capitalise on it tbh.”

True, it is sad we didn’t learn more about them. However, it’s cool that we got this callback to the 2013 teaser trailer.

As if you needed another reason to return to the game, did you know there’s a hidden Fallout vault you’ve missed?

There’s still so much going on in Night City; don’t delay.

We’ve got years before a sequel launches, so we foresee many more playthroughs in our future. Thank god there’s so many secrets still to find.
