Cyberpunk 2077 players are being locked out of the game's best quest

Cyberpunk 2077 players are seemingly being locked out of one of the game’s best quests, so if you haven’t yet completed ‘New Person, Same Old Mistakes’, you’re going to want to pay attention.

Fair to say, Cyberpunk 2077 is thriving. Night City is looking better than it ever has, with many fans hailing it as their favourite video game location. Thanks to the release of Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 looks set to overtake Starfield’s player count, an impressive achievement. Phantom Liberty may be the game’s only expansion, but we know that a sequel - codenamed Project Orion - is on the way. In fact, fans think they’ve spotted a major sequel plot teaser in Phantom Liberty’s closing scenes. Today though, we’re here to discuss the excellent ‘New Person, Same Old Mistakes’ quest which many players are finding themselves locked out of.

Take a look at Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in action below.

As reported by Kotaku, Cyberpunk 2077 is in excellent shape, but it’s not entirely bug-free - and one such bug seems to be preventing players from completing the aforementioned quest. It’s essentially an extension of ‘Gig: Waiting for Dodger’. During that Gig, you’ll find several cops who find themselves incapable of taking down some local criminals, with V lending their assistance.

Later on, Bill - one of the aforementioned cops - will call you and inform you that he’s left the NCPD and opened a new enterprise in The Glen. It turns out, Bill is running a hot dog stand out of a garage. In an unfortunate bug though, many players are finding that the shutter is closed on arrival, despite Bill greeting them from beyond it.

Apparently, the bug is triggered when you tell Bill you’ll swing by. If you revert your save, and then read the message without speaking, you should have no issues visiting his hot dog stand. If Bill reached out to you several hours ago though, you’re going to need to wait for CDPR to issue a fix which, hopefully, they do soon. It’s a shame not to see Bill’s storyline draw to a close.
