Cyberpunk 2077 players just realising CDPR snuck a new secret in months ago

Those sneaky little developers

Cyberpunk 2077 fans are shocked to see that CD Projekt RED snuck in a hidden detail within one of the Dark Horse comic books that eventually ended up in the game.

Yesterday saw the (final?) update for Cyberpunk 2077 announced, and as Update 2.3 releases, Paweł Sasko revealed that one of the latest updates to the cars in the game was actually debuted in Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown.

It’s a very minor detail, but one that shows how interconnected that Cyberpunk 2077 universe has become.

During the exclusive livestream, Sasko held up the graphic novel from Dark Horse and let everyone know that the latest designs had been under our noses for months.

In what would have been a passing glance to readers, we were actually being teased by upcoming features for the game.

The new designs and brand-new vehicles are a big focus for the development team, who partnered up with Virtuous once again to fill out the content for the next big patch.

CD Projekt RED has constantly teased that this will be the final patch, but they’ve said that in the past, so we’ll believe it when we see it.

Accompanying the vehicles, there will be updates to the photo mode, some new side-quests, an auto-drive mode for cruising around Night City, and various graphical updates.

The update is out now for PC and consoles, though Nintendo Switch 2 owners will have to wait a little longer as the developers put some polishing touches on the patch.

If you’ve been an avid reader of the Cyberpunk 2077 comics, this will be a lovely little addition for you and, of course, you can pose by the cars with their new paint jobs, while experimenting with the enhanced photo mode.

Now, is this really the last update? Or will there be yet another surprise down the line?
