You Can Buy Leon's Jacket From The 'Resident Evil 4' Remake Trailer

June is shaping up to be a huge month for gaming announcements. Just a few days ago, Sony kicked things off with their State of Play showcase where Capcom unveiled their upcoming remake of 2005’s Resident Evil 4.

The remake isn’t going to be a like-for-like copy of the original game as the developers have already teased that they’re approaching it as a “reimagining.” Interestingly, fans have spotted a number of links to Resident Evil Village within the trailer which could perhaps factor into the reimagined elements. Eagle-eyed fans also spotted another interesting detail in the trailer, a copyright disclaimer for Leon’s jacket.

Take a look at Leon’s jacket for yourself in the brand new Resident Evil 4 Remake trailer.

That’s right. Protagonist Leon sports a bomber jacket and Twitter user JetSetHan spotted an odd disclaimer for the garment that appears right at the end of the trailer. It reads, “Leon’s brown sheepskin leather bomber jacket appears with permission from Schott NYC.”

Well, the folks over at PC Gamer have done some searching and have found a remarkably similar jacket on Schott NYC’s website, which means you can actually own Leon’s cool jacket yourself. There is one catch though … the price.

Leon’s bomber jacket - which the website describes as “the classic WWII sheepskin leather ‘Bomber’ jacket” - will put you back a whopping $1495 (£1197). As a federal agent, Leon would probably have a comfortable salary so I suppose he’s well within his rights to treat himself to a boujee jacket - and he needs a high quality garment to withstand all the sticky situations he finds himself in.

The jacket listed on the Schott NYC website certainly matches up with the one we see in the trailer, from the sheepskin lining to the cross-shaped back seam. Surely it’s simply a matter of time before dedicated Resident Evil fans start splashing the cash.
