Steam Drops 5 Brand-New Free Games, Yours Forever

Steam is no stranger to offering its user base the chance to dive into some incredible games at no extra cost and this week is no exception.

Being a PC gamer is much easier thanks to Steam, the digital storefront that allows players to purchase the latest big releases as well as access thousands of demos and, in this case, even get their hands on some games for absolutely free.

So if you are on the lookout for a battle royale, a Metroidvania, a 2D platformer, a heartwarming adventure or a life sim reminiscent of The Sims, then this upcoming list is guaranteed to have something for you.

First up is MetaDOS, described as the “next-gen battle royale” and will see players fight to be crowned champion on a small island. Using a time-as-currency system, players will need to loot Time from their enemies in order to be the last man standing.

Next is Fourmiworld, an “open-world-ant-farm-metroidvania”. In this title, you will take on the role of an interdimensional urban explorer girl who must unlock new abilities whilst discovering all the sights and sounds of a surreal alien dimension.

If you want something a bit more challenging, you can check out the 2D platformer and side-scroller titled Psycutlery. Using a mind-controlled spork, players must grab, throw, eat and utterly wreck everything in sight in this “platforming dramedy”.

On the other hand, Wish Upon a Cat is a wholesome interaction fiction game where players will embark on a delightful journey through the worlds of various Odencat games. In this short but heartwarming adventure, you must track down a dimension-diving cat before it’s too late.

Last but by no means least is Avakin Life, a life simulation title reminiscent of The Sims. Players will get to fully customise their characters and live their lives from start to finish all whilst creating their dream homes, making friends, planning parties and embarking on the adventure of a lifetime.
