A Battlefield 6 player is disappointed that an iconic series feature is much better in the newly released battle royale, Battlefield: REDSEC.
Earlier this month, EA finally released the highly anticipated Battlefield 6, and for the most part, whether it’s the short but sweet single-player campaign or its high-octane multiplayer offering, fans of the series are having a lot of fun.
Especially when it comes to the multiplayer modes, it offers plenty of entertainment with players causing all sorts of mayhem with the series' signature destruction, granting players the ability to obliterate buildings to pieces, all in the name of capturing a zone.
In our review of Battlefield 6, GAMINGbible’s Olly said: “It’s the multiplayer that remains its greatest strength, as it always has for this series. Well-designed maps and strong teamplay features make for interesting online rounds.

“This bleeds out into other aspects of the game; the gunplay, the weapon customisation, and the destruction mechanics. It’s punchy, direct, and exciting. It all feels carefully tuned to how players have wanted the game to be like since the golden era of the series.”

Earlier this week, EA shadow-dropped the free-to-play battle royale game, Battlefield: REDSEC, which hopes to contend with the likes of Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone as the top free shooter in its genre.
Battlefield: REDSEC dropped out of nowhere
Speaking of Battlefield: REDSEC, PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim a free DLC pack worth nearly £20, but sadly, it’s currently full price for PC and Xbox gamers.

As brought to our attention by TheGamer, not long after the launch of Battlefield: REDSEC, players have noticed that its destruction feature appears to be significantly better than what’s seen in the Battlefield 6 multiplayer.
“You can collapse skyscrapers in the battle royale but not in the [Battlefield 6] multiplayer, guess we know where all the real resources went,” exclaimed Redditor HeresyInc, sharing an impressive destruction clip in the thread.
“Genuinely, imagine how much better Sobek would be if you could do this. But no, best they can do is indestructible tarps that completely hide snipers.”

“I’m still not convinced that entire buildings being able to be destroyed would’ve made multiplayer better. I think different maps altogether would be better,” suggested Far_Requirement_4390.
“It would have made it a lot worse. Blowing up complete buildings would level the map, making it a sniper haven for everyone, objective capturing would be non-existent,” replied NuckinFutsCanuck.
“In some interviews, it was clearly stated that the lack of full destructibility was a design decision, not a technical limitation,” revealed Dafrandle. “They brought up Bad Company 2 and how the maps became markedly less enjoyable to play after everything got destroyed.”
As awesome as it might look visually for all buildings to be levelled in the multiplayer modes in Battlefield 6, the Reddit users above do raise some very valid points.
