Baldur's Gate 3 is a sexy game. You know it. I know it. Yes, on the face of it, it's an acclaimed fantasy RPG about saving the world from impossible evil. But scratch the surface, and it's about a lot of sexy people having sex, or thinking about sex.
Baldur's Gate 3 absolutely champions sex, and encourages it wherever possible, whatever your preferences. That's why it's great to see that the game's next major update is primarily concerned with romance.

Over on Twitter, Larian Studios confirmed that the next major patch for Baldur's Gate 3 (patch 6) will be released next week - the same week as Valentine's Day. Coincidence? Probably. But whoever is running social media for Baldur's Gate 3 has made the most of that coincidence, and we're here for it.
"Love is in the air in Faerûn, and we've made improvements to locking lips with your romantic partner," Larian confirmed.
"Releasing next week, Patch 6 includes improved smooches, new camp idle animations, new Legendary Actions in Honour Mode, and plenty of bug fixes."
The developer added that it's a "hefty" update, so we'll have to keep an eye out for the full patch notes over on the official website. For now, however, it's great to see Baldur's Gate 3 is getting more content, even if it is stuff as seemingly inconsequential as better kissing and and new animations. The characters and their relationships are such a huge part of this RPG, so any excuse to see any new content - however small - between them is a win in my eyes.
Naturally, Baldur's Gate 3 fans everywhere - traditionally a thirsty bunch - are already hot under the collar thinking about this new update. One suspects there'll be a whole lot of virtual smooching come Valentine's Day. And you know what? Good for you if that makes you happy.
