PlayStation Getting Even More Xbox Exclusives According to Official Tease

This is potentially the weirdest way to announce a game I've ever seen

It would seem that Sony just outright revealed that another Xbox exclusive will be coming to PlayStation 5 in the future, and I think this might genuinely be the weirdest way I’ve ever seen a game be teased.

It’s barely been three days since it was released, but it seems that Sony is already moving on to the next installment in this beloved Xbox franchise.

Earlier this week, Gears of War: Reloaded landed on Steam, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The updated version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition marks the very first time that a Gears of War title has landed on a PlayStation system, and is a pretty huge milestone in Sony’s and Microsoft’s new initiative to release previously exclusive games on each other’s platforms.

Naturally, it would be sort of weird for Microsoft to end the new wave of Gears of War remasters here, considering Gears of War: Reloaded only contains the first game in the series.

It’s not a given that a remastered version of Gears of War 2 would find its way to PlayStation 5 though. Sony and Microsoft might have a falling out of sorts in the meantime, or perhaps Microsoft merely plans to give PlayStation owners a taste of the franchise (in an attempt to make them purchase Xbox systems).

Uh, well, actually– ignore everything I just said, because Sony seems to have just straight up confirmed that a PS5 version of Gears of War 2 is on its way.

As spotted by @NextGenPlayer over on Twitter, the Platinum trophy for Gears of War: Reloaded, titled "Nothin' Left", states "Your adventure is over, for now..." in its description.

This is something that’s exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Xbox doesn’t have anything that’s equivalent to a Platinum trophy, the only way to unlock this is by grabbing every trophy in the PS5 version of Gears of War: Reloaded.

If that doesn’t scream “Gears of War 2 Remastered exists and it’ll be on PS5!” to you, then I don’t know what else to tell you. Expect an official announcement from Microsoft’s side very, very soon.
