This surprise Assassin’s Creed project is unlike anything we’ve ever seen in the franchise's history, but we kinda dig it.
Ever since its inception in 2007 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series has taken us to so many places across the world and important times in history.
To this day, the Assassin’s Creed series is still going strong, with fans now awaiting its next big release, a remake of the beloved pirate fantasy game of 2013, starring the charismatic Edward Kenway, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
However, long after we’ve explored the revitalised seas and plundered all the treasure in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, there’s more Brotherhood of Assassin goodness to enjoy, but it might not be what you expect.
As tweeted on the official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account, Ubisoft is taking its popular franchise to the stage, and no, it’s not an orchestral concert. It’s an “acrobatic experience”, perhaps very befitting for a franchise that loves nothing more than to parkour across rooftops.
The Assassin’s Creed stage show will premiere in Montreal, Canada, at Théâtre Maisonneuve, on 3 December 2026, before coming to Paris, at Casino de Paris, France, on 21 January 2027.

Directed by Sébastien Soldevila, the show will be a production by The 7 Fingers and will tell the story of “A young man searching for his father, who disappeared years ago".
“On his 25th birthday, a mysterious letter leads him to the HEREDIS program. This quest becomes the starting point of a journey across centuries,” a description teases. This feels familiar to Desmond Miles’ relationship with his father, William.
“Good thing I'll be in Montreal in December 2026 for work! Great end of year gift, Ubisoft,” rejoiced imbratorX. "Thanks."
“This sounds awesome!” declared Eric__W7979.
“How Leonardo says, 'How exciting’,” recalled Tmac93x.
Assassin’s Creed: Echoes of the Past is said to be enjoyable for even those who have no experience with the series. It will be a two-hour show with 17 highly acrobatic performers blending “urban parkour" and “choreographed combat,” and will take attendees on a journey through time.
Ticket details for Assassin’s Creed: Echoes of the Past can be found on its official website. As for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, that will be released on 9 July 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
