We're tantalisingly close to uncovering all of the secrets that Grand Theft Auto VI has to uncover, ending years and years of bottom-of-the-barrel theories and conspiracies.
Yet even with an 'extended' reveal coming in just a matter of days, that hasn't stopped the devoted internet doomscrollers from digging up new theories, such as a Red Dead Redemption bloodline crossover - yep...
Still, some fan-made brain-scrawling mind maps make sense, especially where the GTA VI cover art is concerned.
Revealed in June, the official GTA VI cover art features recurring figures from previous games, such as the helicopter in the top left and an ambiguous woman who hasn't featured anywhere before.

That said woman is now the focus of attention for many theories, and we've found the best.

The Venezuelan DJ theory
As a rule of thumb, the Grand Theft Auto box art steers clear of using any likeness of a 'real' person. This was typified with the GTA V artwork, which attracted the attention of Lindsey Lohan and her lawyers.
Lohan attempted to sue Rockstar Games, claiming that she was the inspiration for the girl in a red bikini that featured on the cover art, having been pictured in a similar outfit in 2007, pulling the same peace gestures with a phone in hand. She also claimed that there was an exact likeness to a character named Lacy Jonas. Lohan's suit was rejected as the courts deemed that Others claimed that the character simply resembled a generic young woman.
Yet the Grand Theft Auto community believes that Rockstar has used a real person this time around, convincing themselves that Venezuelan DJ Gabriela Chiquin is the girl in the green T-shirt in the box art.

The resemblance is uncanny, with the green sports crop top, frizzy hair, tanned skin, pink lipstick, and head-touching pose all being pictured in both images.
Chiquin even made a reference to the rumours on her Instagram, saying, "I want to thank the entire GTA community for so much love. I never imagined receiving so many messages, comments, and memes," although she didn't actually confirm or deny the claims.
If the cover art does resemble Chiquin, though, you can almost guarantee that there was a deal made with Rockstar to avoid another Lohan fiasco.

Will she be an actual GTA 6 character?
Grand Theft Auto games have a hit-and-miss record of whether the girls on the cover art can be found within the game or not.
The aforementioned red bikini girl from GTA V was not found anywhere in Los Santos, and the same goes for the lollipop-donning lady on GTA - although she was at least named as an exotic dancer named Lola Del Rio, who was enlisted on the LCPD internet database for 'Public Lewdness', and was painted on the side of a building in SoHo, New York for advertising.
You have to go back to Vice City - coincidentally or not - for the last time that a box art lady featured in the game. Here, her appearance was used for identical twins who worked as a Malibu Club bartender and a Pole Position Club dancer.
So, what does that mean for the green-shirted woman in GTA VI?
Well, we've already seen that the new Miami-based game will feature multiple real-life mock-ups of memes, as seen in the first trailer. While not necessarily a viral gimmick, even if the first theory is to be believed, there's a solid chance that the art woman will be found somewhere in the Vice City clubs this time around.
Lucia's hidden identity
Technically not 'the cover girl', but the main protagonist, Lucia, is also featured on the art alongside her Bonnie-and-Clyde partner, Jason.
And there's a pretty compelling theory that she is hiding a big agenda.
The crux of it is that Lucia is the driving force for this story, not Jason, reversing the typical tropes of criminal love stories. Many have suggested Lucia to be deeply connected with the cartel, and could even be the head of one of the most powerful underworld families in Liberty City, looking to expand their hold into Vice City. Many people claim that her interactions with police officers seem overly friendly (suggesting bribery), and the get-out-of-jail-free card seen in the trailer suggests more of a backhand favour than divine intervention.
Others actually think that Lucia could be an undercover cop herself, infiltrating a drug ring and setting up her new partner to take the fall. That theory ties in with the police niceties and sets up a potential morality choice for players: either take the thugs down, or turn your back on the force for love and riches - it's somewhat far-fetched and overused, but it might be the twist only a few have guessed right.
Either way, GTA fans theorise Lucia has a hidden identity, rather than being pulled into a life of crime by Jason.
