Invincible is one of the hottest series on Amazon’s Prime Video right now based on the comic book series of the same name by the creator of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman.

Invincible is a mature animated series that brings great character development, emotion and multi-layered stories that will keep you hooked from start to finish. There’s a good reason why fans cannot get enough of the popular comic book adaptation on Amazon’s streaming service.

“Mark Grayson is a normal teenager, except for the fact that his father, Nolan, is the most powerful superhero on the planet. Shortly after his seventeenth birthday, Mark begins to develop Viltrumite powers of his own and enters as the superhero "Invincible" under his father's tutelage,” reads the synopsis of Invincible season one.

Outside of the animated series, we know that an Invincible board game is on the way and just last year, a video game was also released. Sadly, however, that video game was an Invincible mobile title from Ubisoft that quickly threw water over the flames of hype.

Thankfully, to help numb the disappointment of the Invincible mobile game it has been revealed that a AAA title is now in the works. As reported by Comicbook.com (via Republic), Skybound Entertainment has announced that work has begun internally with a team of veteran developers who had previously worked at the likes of Activision, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, and more.

“Invincible is under development with a team of veteran developers with decades-long careers and multiple AAA games to their credit,” read a statement from Skybound Entertainment. “With cutting-edge competitive gameplay, premium production values, and the most advanced online and technical foundations, Invincible will release under a premium model with multiple DLC expansions and special editions designed to cater to every level of fandom.”

The Invincible game which will be under the guidance of Robert Kirkman will have a story mode as well as competitive online and local multiplayer modes. Skybound Entertainment also promised that the Invincible game will bring “adventures for years to come.”

The Invincible game is being backed by a crowdfunding project and is currently in its early phase of production. So with that in mind, the game is likely to be some years away and could be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Season three of Invincible is expected to arrive on Prime Video this coming November.
