Xbox has added to its existing range of free downloads outside of the paid Game Pass subscription offering, with three new demos available right now in the Xbox Store.

The first and most notable addition is for the Gothic 1 Remake, a long awaited complete reimagining of the brilliant original that is currently slated for a full release at some point in early 2026.

The Gothic RPG franchise will likely need no introduction to most of you, with its place as one of the more influential and consistent series in the genre more than secure.

The first game really was brilliant though, and this ground up remake brings it forward visually to what players in 2025 would expect. As a remake, players of the original will notice a lot more than just a new coat of paint in this upcoming version.

The developer has confirmed that questlines have been altered, with many coming out as longer and more detailed versions of the originals. Additionally, combat has been fully updated and there are additional NPCs, interactions and traversal options, all within a world that remains as open as it always was.

Adding to that already tempting offer are two further demos - Formula: Legends and Deadzone: Rogue.

Formula: Legends is a new arcade-style version of the F1 racing games that have become so competitive in recent years. This game allows players to race through different decades, with all the variations in cars and technology that players might expect from a journey spanning 50+ years.

As the name might suggest Deadzone: Rogue is a roguelite FPS in space where players will be blasting their way through hordes of violence crazed machines, in either single player or co-op.

All three look like fun picks in their own right, so if any take your fancy, simply head over to the Xbox Store to get your hands on the free demos.
