I think most of us can agree that when it comes to clothing, the most important factor, beyond not wanting to wander the streets naked, is comfort - and that is at the forefront of the designs in ILTHY’s latest range. I was sent three officially licensed Assassin’s Creed Shadows items by the fashion studio, a zip-up hoodie, a t-shirt, and a baseball cap; all of which I was instantly impressed with in terms of fabric quality, sizing, and design.
First up, we have the super cosy, ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows Yasuke & Naoe Stone Zip-Up Hoodie’. This cream, pale grey hoodie has a sharp red stitched Assassin’s Creed logo on the right breast just above the gold ILTHY logo. On the back of the hoodie are letterbox images of the two main protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe, in black and red with their names featured in a bold red font. It’s very stylish and eye-catching to any fan of the series.

The material of the hoodie is made from a thick but soft 60% cotton, 40% polyester fleece blend with two reasonably-sized pockets on the left and right sides. At first glance, I assumed that the hoodie was going to be quite heavy, but I couldn't be more wrong. It’s light and incredibly comfy.
It’s also worth mentioning that it seems all sizes of the Assassin’s Creed range from ILTHY are oversized by design. So whatever your natural size is, you might want to order the size below to be more true to you. On the plus side, the oversized hoodie is also a perfect size to wear an additional comfy jumper underneath, ideal for cold winters.
Next up, we have the ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows Black Tee’, which has a similar design to the zip-up hoodie, but this time, the images are on the front, rather than the back. However, the images of Yasuke and Naoe are white with a gold ILTHY logo in the centre that perfectly complements the overall black t-shirt colour.

Similarly to the zip-up hoodie, the cotton is thick but smooth and deceivingly lightweight. Moreover, the oversized design is aided by the looseness over the shoulders. Again, if you want the t-shirt to be a true fit, I’d recommend ordering a size down.
One of the concerns that I have with modern-day t-shirts is that they shrink after a 30-degree wash, sometimes on the first wash. After a couple of washes, the t-shirt has shown no signs of shrinking, likely a result of the thick cotton.
Finally, we have the ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows Black Snapback Cap’. I’m more of a beanie wearing type of guy, I’ll admit, but on a warm sunny day when there’s barely a cloud in the sky, sunglasses and a cap might be the best course of action.
This Assassin’s Creed Shadows snapback cap feels well-made and sturdy with its curved brim and structured panel. Unlike some cheaper, flimsy caps, it doesn't feel like this ILTHY product will lose its shape anytime soon. It also feels larger than most caps I’ve worn, so much so, that it fits (somewhat) on my oversized cranium.

It has the red Assassin’s Creed Shadows logo printed on the front, and Kanji Japanese writing printed on one side, which translates to “shadow”. On the other side of the cap, the cap features three symbols which include a shinobi throwing star. At the rear is the instantly recognisable Assassin’s Creed logo.
The ILTHY clothing range isn't the cheapest on the market, as you’ll be looking at £42 for a t-shirt, £78 for a hoodie and £38 for the snapback cap. However, the materials used to produce these items do feel high quality, and you’re definitely going to get a lot of wear and longevity for the price you’ll pay. Plus, you’re always going to pay for officially licensed products.
If, like me, you’re a big Assassin’s Creed fan and you take the plunge by picking up some of the ILTHY premium clothing range, I doubt you’ll be disappointed with your purchase and instead, will be greeted with a feeling of money well spent with the bonus of representing the video game franchise you love.
