The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is regarded as one of the greatest video games ever made, and certainly the best of Nintendo’s repertoire.
As the Legend Of Zelda series’ first jump into 3D the game was a colossal success, and a must-have for any Nintendo 64 collection. You can currently play it on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 via Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass.
While I’ve always held The Legend Of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as my favourite I’d argue Ocarina Of Time is the better game of the two, but according to modern-day lists it’s now been dethroned.
IGN recently ranked the 100 best Nintendo games of all-time, and in the past you’d have expected Ocarina Of Time to have comfortably sat in the number one spot, or or at least the top three.

In this new list though Ocarina Of Time took the number six spot, with the best two Nintendo games claimed to be The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild at number two, and The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom at number one.
Now I love the Nintendo Switch Zelda games as much as anyone else. They’re excellent games and mechanically speaking they are the most impressive titles in the series, but that doesn’t automatically make them better…

Zelda fans seemed to agree too, with many taking issue with Breath Of The Wild and Tears Of The Kingdom being ranked the highest, whereas incredible Zelda games like The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess weren’t even in the top 20.

“Can't say I agree with BotW and TotK being the absolute best Zelda games, let alone the best Nintendo games ever made.
"LA, OoT, MM, and TWW are all much better games IMO.”
Again Ocarina Of Time isn’t as technically advanced as the Nintendo Switch games but as a product of its team it’s remarkable.
It ironically stood the test of time being playable on just about every Nintendo platform going, and continues to be one of the greatest games ever made.

Is the Legend Of Zelda live-action film about Ocarina Of Time?
The Legend Of Zelda movie is currently filming and an official first-look from Nintendo has revealed Link in his classic green tunic and Zelda sporting an appearance similar to Breath Of The Wild.
It’s currently unclear which game the film will be adapting, but judging from the green tunic it’s likely one of the older games, with Zelda’s Breath Of The Wild-inspired outfit merely a nod to her modern-day design.
