We’re just a few days away from July, and that means that we have plenty of new video games to play. Here, we’ll let you know some of the best games coming out in July 2026.

You might think that with the year 2026 already treating us to a plethora of bangers, such as Resident Evil Requiem, Forza Horizon 6, Crimson Desert, and 007 First Light, to name a few, that the release schedule might calm down a little. Well, if you thought that, then you’re wrong (thankfully).

Of course, later in the year, we have the goliath that is Grand Theft Auto VI, so it’s more than likely that between now and October, the video game release schedule will get even more intense with publishers and developers desperate to avoid the highly anticipated Rockstar Games title, which arrives on 19 November.

So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the biggest video game releases coming in July 2026, as well as one or two expansions.

Best Video Games Releasing In July 2026

High on Life 2 (Nintendo Switch 2) - 1 July

This is the sequel to the highly-rated comedic first-person shooter from 2022, from the creative minds of Rick and Morty. High on Life 2 was originally released in February this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but now it's coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.

High on Life 2 looks visually better, its gameplay has been expanded with new skateboarding segments, exploration, intense combat and more. Oh, and it’s even more ridiculous than its predecessor. By the looks of it, High on Life 2 is pretty much everything fans would want in a sequel.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations, Bethesda Softworks

DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations (PC, PS5 and Xbox) - 7 July

Revelations is the long-awaited expansion to 2025’s DOOM: The Dark Ages, a prequel to the iconic first-person shooter series that made its debut in 1993. Without giving too many spoilers away, Revelations takes place directly after the events of the 2025 game.

DOOM: The Dark Ages Revelations brings an all-new story campaign, new enemies to dismember, enhanced combat abilities, additional secrets to uncover, new modes and much more. Judging by the gameplay trailers, this expansion may even have the potential to outdo its main game counterpart and looks more like a sequel than an expansion.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced (PC, PS5 and Xbox) - 9 July

This is a remake built from the ground up of one of the most popular entries in the famed Ubisoft series, 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, starring the endlessly charming pirate of the seas, Edward Kenway.

In our preview of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, not only was it made clear that the visuals have been vastly improved, but the world is more seamless. It has new areas, new story missions, new characters, improved combat and so forth. Whether you’re new to this game or a returning fan, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced looks to be the definitive way to experience this beloved pirate adventure.

College Football 27 (PC, PS5 and Xbox) - 9 July

Aside from the upcoming launch of EA Sports FC 27 and Madden 27, College Football 27 arrives just as the boiling summer gets into full swing.

College Football 27 will have an improved ‘Road to Glory’ story mode, deeper gameplay mechanics and tactics, dynamic weather, more authenticity, and so on. Overall, College Football 27 looks to be a solid upgrade over its previous release, which will hopefully be enough to please the die-hard fans (not John McClain related).

Palworld, Pocketpair

Palworld (PC, PS5 and Xbox) - 10 July

Yes, that’s right, Palworld is finally being released in full. Palworld took the video game industry by storm when it was first released in 2024. However, that was as an early access title but as of next month, Palworld will release its 1.0 version - though I’m sure it will continue to evolve with post-launch updates.

Palworld 1.0 at launch will have a new endgame area called the ‘World Tree’, new story beats, additional lore, new Pals to capture and train, a reworked progression system, improved gameplay, as well as a ton of quality of life improvements. Oh, and just in case you were worried about the transition, your progress with the early access version will not be wiped.

Splatoon Raiders, Nintendo

Splatoon Raiders (Nintendo Switch 2) - 23 July

Splatoon Raiders is a spin-off to the popular multiplayer series that made its debut on the original Nintendo Switch in 2015. While Splatoon Raiders does support co-op, it's more of a story–focused experience. So, if this was an element you felt was lacking in previous games, hopefully, this new release will serve you well.

If you were concerned that Splatoon Raiders only has a story-focused co-op mode, then fear not, because it also has a wave-based PvE mode. By the looks of things, Splatoon Raiders is a solid alternative to its bigger sibling and might just be yet another solid Nintendo entry this year.

Halo: Campaign Evolved, Xbox Game Studios

Halo: Campaign Evolved (PC, PS5 and Xbox) - 28 July

This is the second massive remake in July 2026, and it's arguably the biggest one; we're talking about Halo: Campaign Evolved. This is a remake built from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, inspired by the Xbox launch title of November 2001.

There were some concerns regarding access to its ever-popular local co-op, but it looks like that may have been a simple mix-up, and it's now been addressed. So hopefully, playing Halo: Campaign Evolved co-op should not be an issue.

Halo: Campaign Evolved has three new prequel missions, vastly improved graphics, and new performance and controller options. After a recent hands-on preview, while there were some minor concerns, we came out feeling rather hyped for this remake, and it might just help save the legendary franchise.

Before we conclude, here are just a couple of notable mentions. The popular free-to-play RPG Wuthering Waves is finally coming to Xbox Series X/S, and the other popular free-to-play RPG, Where Winds Meet, is getting its first expansion with ‘Hidden Mountain’. Neither has confirmed release dates yet, but as long as there are no delays, both should arrive in July 2026.
