At long last and after much speculation, our live-action Link has been revealed.

Announced back in November 2023, The Legend of Zelda live-action movie is currently in production and although it is not expected to hit cinemas until 26 March 2027, it seems as though our main character has already been cast.

According to a recent report, actor Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will be taking on the role of Link in The Legend of Zelda.

Ainsworth is best known for his role as Miles in Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor but at just 16 years old, it seems as though Link will be his biggest role to date.

Not only that but at the time of writing, our Zelda has also been cast and the role has been handed over to Bo Bragason.

The English actress has previously starred in various BBC projects as well as the Disney+ series Renegade Nell.

Although Ainsworth is just 16, it seems as though Zelda will be a bit older as Bragason is 21 but it is no doubt that their dynamic will be as iconic as The Legend of Zelda game series by Nintendo.

The Legend of Zelda live-action movie will be a collaboration between Nintendo and Sony Pictures and the creator of the Zelda franchise Shigeru Miyamoto will also be involved as a producer.

The movie will be directed by Wes Ball who is perhaps best known for his work on the Maze Runner trilogy and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes so he is no stranger to an iconic franchise.

The news of Ainsworth and Bragason’s castings were revealed on Twitter just moments ago by Geoff Keighley himself and users have already come forward with their thoughts on the choices.

“Actually great casting choices,” one user shared.

Another added, “Thank God Nintendo still respects good castings.”

It seems as though the castings are going down well so it remains to be seen who else will join the highly-anticipated movie ahead of its launch in two years time.
