The Last of Us star, Pedro Pascal, has labelled Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling as a “heinous loser”.

Earlier this month in the UK, following a prolonged legal battle, the Supreme Court ruled that the definition of a woman is those born biologically female and does not include transgender individuals as being a woman.

It’s no secret that J.K. Rowling has been a pro-women’s rights campaigner and is aggressively against transgender ideology.

In the past, J.K. Rowling has seemingly clashed with stars of the Harry Potter movie franchise, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, who all have publicly shown support in favour of trans rights.

As reported by The Guardian, the Harry Potter author donated £70,000 to support ‘For Women Scotland’, the pivotal campaign group that led to the recent court ruling in the UK.

Following that court ruling, J.K. Rowling celebrated by tweeting: “I love it when a plan comes together. #SupremeCourt #WomensRights,” accompanied by a smug image of her raising a glass and smoking a cigar.

Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel Miller in The Last of Us HBO TV series and Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, is a vocal supporter of trans rights and has a trans sister.

Moreover, Pedro Pascal co-stars alongside Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in The Last of Us TV series. Bella Ramsey is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and is genderfluid.

Spotted by the Independent, in response to J.K. Rowling, Pedro Pascal has come out in support of trans rights once more, labelling the author as a “heinous loser” and “disgusting”, commenting on an Instagram post made by activist Tariq Ra'ouf.

If you have been affected by the comments made by J.K. Rowling or want information following the court ruling, charities such as Mermaids and Not a Phrase offer great resources.
