Star Wars Ewoks with no fur are the worst thing I've ever seen

Put that thing back where it came from or so help me

I’ll be honest, I’ve never particularly wondered what Ewoks look like without fur.

I feel it would be weird if I did, but now that this headline has made its way across my desk, I’m morbidly curious to find out what the answer is.

Which is exactly the way I’m imagining you feel after stumbling across this story.

Ewoks are, fair to say, a love or hate species within the Star Wars canon.

People either tend to find them to be adorable or endlessly annoying; there’s no in between.

Personally, I’ve always found them to be the former.

They’re not my favourite type of Star Wars creature, but they do look like cute lil’ teddy bears running about the place.

But I may have to change that stance because what I have seen cannot be unseen.

ICYMI: Andor returns next month with its second and final season.

Hairless Ewoks are an abomination.

As previously reported by Entertainment Weekly, a glimpse at what these creatures look like without fur was offered by Star Wars creature concept designer Jake Lunt Davies.

Davies shared an image of actor Warwick Davis in costume to Instagram. The difference here being the costume didn’t yet have fur.

Yep, that’s definitely going to haunt my nightmares.

“Ewok sans fur,” Davies wrote. “Scary stuff.”

Fans were, I’m relieved to say, as disturbed as I am.

“That is absolutely not okay. My god,” wrote one user.

“A monster,” remarked another.

Others pointed out that hairless Ewoks look a lot like Shrek, and I will not have Shrek’s good name sullied like this.

He’s a friendly fella, when he wants to be.

These hairless Ewoks though? They look like the devil’s spawn to me.
