If you’re a Disney+ subscriber, Manny Jacinto (and his ridiculously swole biceps) is back on your TV screens right now… just not in a second season of Star Wars: The Acolyte.

Disney won’t be renewing Star Wars: The Acolyte for a second season any time soon, but at least fans can lay their peepers on the next best thing this month.

Well, your mileage may vary in regards to it being the 'next best thing'. But hey, I’m sure the majority of you will take any opportunity to see Manny Jacinto on your TVs (and, trust me, I get it).

As revealed by What’s On Disney Plus’ Roger Palmer (assumedly no relation to the Manchester City striker) last month, Disney+ subscribers can currently watch Freakier Friday, which stars Manny Jacinto, right this second, as the sequel was added to the streaming giant’s line-up on November 12.

If you missed this one while it was in cinemas, then you’re not the only one, as the film grossed roughly $150 million during its six-week run back in August.

That may not sound like a lot, but Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another seems to be closing off on roughly $200 million at the box office, on a reported budget of $130 million (before advertising costs), so perhaps it's an awful lot better than it sounds in this day and age.

Also, I have a feeling that a film like Freakier Friday will really, really well on streaming, so it may be too soon to judge its success based on box office numbers alone.

If you’d like some more Star Wars: The Acolyte-centric news, then good news: showrunner Leslye Headland recently spoke about her plans for its second season, which would have primarily focused on Manny Jacinto's Qimir.

But, uh… just to clarify, she’s referring to the plans that would have been set in motion had the series not been cancelled.

Maybe just imagine that Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis are Jedi who have mind-swapped each other through the power of the force, so you can pretend that Freakier Friday is some kind of Star Wars spin-off? Closest thing you’re going to get to a second season of The Acolyte any time soon.

And hey, who knows? Maybe the success of Freakier Friday and the ever-rising popularity of Manny Jacinto could spur a second season of The Acolyte into existence.

Yeah, probably not, but you guys need some kind of hope to hold on to.
