Star Wars officially bringing back Yoda and Mace Windu for new series

Some of Star Wars’ most popular Jedi Masters, and some brand-new faces, will be making their Marvel Comics debut in a new series.

With Disney having its hands on basically everything at this point, Star Wars was bound to head to Marvel Comics sooner or later, though don’t get your hopes up for an Avengers Vs Jedi crossover anytime soon, as cool as that would be.

As for Marvel films, The Thunderbolts looks like one of the best MCU films we’ve seen in a while, check out the trailer below

The latest Star Wars series, Star Wars: Jedi Knights, will focus on some of the most popular Jedi Masters to grace the sci-fi universe, including Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu and Yoda.

Of course the new story will be set before most of these Jedi met their untimely demise, and it’ll excitingly be some of the first times we’ve seen these characters interact, though quite a few crossed paths in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Editor Mark Paniccia teased the new series, calling it a “blockbuster first issue with a cliffhanger that kicks off one action-packed issue after another featuring your favourite Jedi … You’ve literally never seen so much lightsaber action in a comic book!”

Honestly Star Wars would do well to focus on more prequel stories like this in its live-action projects, as everyone was thrilled to learn Obi-Wan Kenobi was getting his own film before it turned into a TV show.

Films about Yoda back in his prime or perhaps what could have happened to Mace WIndu after his battle with Palpatine would be fun to explore, especially since it was never confirmed that the latter died in the confrontation, he just got flung out of a window.

If you’re interested in Star Wars: Jedi Knights, the first issue will be going on sale March 2025.
