New details have been revealed about action set pieces for the upcoming Marvel film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
It appears that one scene in the film will involve blowing up a New York building and for that, Marvel and Sony are taking actor Tom Holland to Scotland, of all places.
As reported by The Times, the studios will take a week to film on Bothwell Street, St. Vincent Street, Waterloo Street, Oak Street, and Richmond Street in Scotland and the UK.
Attention was paid to the Scottish Legal Life Assurance building, which dates back to the 1920s, with the film’s digital crew aiming to blow up the architecture.

Scotland has been used many times by Marvel Studios, offering great locations for the action kicking off.
It’s likely a huge battle is scheduled to go down here, as the buildings are used as stand-ins for areas in New York, and with Spider-Man meeting up with The Punisher in the film, the action will be frenetic.
Plot details are scant, but we do know that Peter Parker will be on his own this time around, after the world forgot all about him in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Scheduled to launch 31 July 2026, the film will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed Shang-Chi for Marvel Studios, and it will star a returning Tom Holland, Zendaya, and J.K. Simmons.

While we don’t know exactly what Spidey will be up to, we do know that The Punisher will be there, as Jon Bernthal has been cast.
Also, Sadie Sink is making her debut, possibly as Gwen Stacy, which has fans wondering if the film will follow the comic book of the same name.
This will be the fourth Spider-Man film in the MCU making him the third hero to get a fourth film after Thor and Captain America.
