The cast list for Avengers: Doomsday is already looking pretty full but with the next phase of the MCU expected to be rife with superheroes and supervillains alike, there may just be room for another web-slinger.
Back in March, many of us tuned in to look at some chairs for a few hours as the extensive cast list for Avengers: Doomsday was revealed.
With over 20 names announced including Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Lewis Pullman, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Channing Tatum, Florence Pugh and many more, 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday is already shaping up to take the world by storm.
As the first Avengers movie since 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, Doomsday has a lot to live up to and with filming underway, its cast and crew will be heading to London to strap into their latex suits.

However, it seems as though a late arrival may be making an appearance after being spotted in the English capital by a fan.
“Cannot believe I bumped into Tobey Maguire in London yesterday. Such a nice guy,” the fan posted on Twitter alongside a selfie of the pair.
Yes, Maguire may just be admiring the sights but with filming for both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday currently taking place in London, could he be making a surprise cameo?
We all remember Maguire taking on the role of Spider-Man between 2002 and 2007 with another appearance in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home alongside Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield.

Not only that but with his story being far from over after the events of the latter, he could very well make an appearance in Avengers: Doomsday, especially as Holland himself won’t be starring in the movie.
There have been rumours of Maguire’s return since Avengers: Doomsday was first announced but with neither the Russo brothers or the actor himself confirming it, it still remains speculation.
With no current projects in the pipeline, what is the Spider-Man actor doing in London?
“IN LONDON?? WHERE THEY ARE FILMING DOOMSDAY?” One fan bellowed over on Twitter.

“What did he have to say? Tell us!” Another fan prodded.
If Maguire is set to star in Avengers: Doomsday, his appearance will probably remain a secret up until when the movie finally heads to cinemas next December.
So for now, all we can do is hope to see the beloved Spidey actor make a return.
