The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man and Daredevil will soon officially reunite.
You may recall that the duo first appeared alongside one another in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Well, perhaps I should say Peter Parker appeared alongside Matt Murdock.
Matt played a key role in getting the charges against Peter dropped after he was framed for Quentin Beck’s murder.

As far as we’re aware, however, Peter did not know that Matt also masquerades as Daredevil, although I’m sure he was mildly suspicious after Matt caught that brick.
Conversely, the duo did suit-up and team-up in the first season of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man which landed earlier this year.
That appearance isn’t technically canon though.
Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man does somewhat exist within the MCU but it’s not a part of the ‘Scared Timeline’.

It takes place prior to the events of Civil War, albeit on Earth-199999.
Well, it’s here that Spider-Man and Daredevil will soon be reunited.
The news of the reunion landed at New York Comic Con over the weekend.
As reported by The Direct which was in attendance at the Marvel Television and Animation panel, it was confirmed that Daredevil will return in Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man Season 2 with new footage showcased to audience members.

It wasn’t revealed exactly how Daredevil factors into the story, but we do now have confirmation that he’ll be wearing his black costume, something which is also confirmed to appear in season two of Daredevil: Born Again.
There’s a bit of a wait in store as Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man isn’t set to return until fall of 2026, so we’re talking September or October, most likely.
The sophomore season will see an alien symbiote emerge, with Gwen Stacy and Doctor Octopus also playing key roles in the story.
What we’re all longing for is a suited-up live-action team-up between Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil.

It’s not on the cards just yet, but it is becoming increasingly more likely.
Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher/Frank Castle is set to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a character we’re used to seeing operate in tandem with Daredevil.
It doesn’t mean that Daredevil will also appear in Brand New Day, but it certainly draws Peter’s and Matt’s worlds closer together.
The more they overlap, the more likely that live-action team-up becomes.

Don’t forget that Brand New Day actually lands before the second season of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives in cinemas on 31 July 2026.
