Avengers: Doomsday Trailers Made, Big Decision Looms

Will the first trailer drop soon?

A fresh Avengers: Doomsday leak suggests that its first trailer could be on the way very soon.

The folks at Walt Disney and Marvel Studios will be hoping that Avengers: Doomsday will get the MCU truly back on track.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but Phase Six of the MCU has a long way to go before it can achieve the heights of popularity of what came before.

We already know that Avengers: Doomsday will have a big cast of characters such as Thor, Doctor Strange, The Fantastic Four and more. We’re even getting some X-Men characters, too. All in all, it has all the ingredients to be the next MCU box office smash.

Of course, the biggest addition to Avengers: Doomsday is the fact that Robert Downey Jr is returning, but not as Tony Stark aka Iron Man. Instead, he returns as the infamous Doctor Doom, whom we had a glimpse of in a recent MCU movie (I’ve remained vague because of spoilers).

Could the first trailer be days away?

We’re yet to be treated to a proper trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, but according to a recent rumour, several trailers have already been made, which might suggest that a reveal could be a matter of days away.

As brought to our attention by the Twitter account ‘MCU Film News’, pop culture and news curator Kristian Harloff claims that despite making several versions of a debut Avengers: Doomsday trailer, a final decision is yet to be made about which version will be released.

It’s claimed that in one of the trailers, Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter are featured, but neither is in costume. I assume, if Peggy Carter were in costume, she might be Captain Britain, who featured in the animated Disney Plus series, What If…?

It’s also said that when the X-Men are introduced in the MCU, which is expected to be during or after Avengers: Secret Wars, Cyclops, aka Scott Summers and his family will be a major focus, and not Wolverine.

Of course, these rumours are unconfirmed at this time, so we should take them with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, hopefully Disney and Marvel will reveal all sooner rather than later.

The next major MCU movie currently set to arrive is Spider-Man: Brand New Day on 31 July 2026. It will then be followed by Avengers: Doomsday on 18 December 2026, and finally, Avengers: Secret Wars on 17 December 2027, which will conclude MCU Phase Six.
