A recent Marvel tease could provide the biggest hint yet as to what Robert Downey Jr’s version of Doctor Doom might look like in Avengers: Doomsday.
When The Fantastic Four: First Steps was released in cinemas earlier in the year, it gave Marvel fans renewed hope that the MCU might get back on track. Because let’s face it, it’s not been all that great in recent years.
In our review, GAMINGbible’s Ewan said: “Minor issues aside, Fantastic Four: First Steps is near-enough everything I’ve ever wanted from a Fantastic Four movie. It’s a big, epic, heartfelt adventure driven by four stars at the top of their game. I can’t wait till the next time we all get to hang out.”
I will be venturing into spoilers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, so please consider this to be your spoiler warning. That being said, most probably know what this spoiler is anyway, but still.

During the last post-credit scene, we were introduced to the MCU’s first Dr. Victor Werner von Doom when he menacingly interacts with Franklin Richards. Although we never saw Doctor Doom's face, I guess we’ll see that in the MCU soon.
However, ahead of the anticipated release of Avengers: Doomsday next year, Hasbro has released images of its latest Doctor Doom action figure, which may provide a hint as to what he may look like in the movie.
As reported by The Direct, Hasbro provided the first look at the Emperor Doom (aka God Emperor Doom) action figure from its Marvel Legends range, and it looks awesome.

In the box, aside from the glorious action figure, it also comes with two alternate hands, two glowing green magic effects, the Eye of Agamotto and Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation, so he’s good and ready to tackle the vampire apocalypse.
The Marvel Legends action figure, which is six inches tall, has 20 points of articulation, including a poseable head, arms and legs for a variety of poses. Saying that, I’d be surprised if most fans would ever want to take this out of the box and damn you, if you do!
There’s no telling for sure if the MCU’s version of Doctor Doom will look exactly like this figure, but Avengers: Secret Wars is also on the horizon, which has a strong connection to the comics of the same name and Emperor Doom, so there’s a good chance.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in cinemas on 18 December 2026, while Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to arrive on 17 December 2027.
