Tomorrow will see The Fantastic Four: First Steps finally hit cinemas but with some lucky fans already getting to see early previews, the infamous post-credits scene has already been revealed.

Marvel is known for its post-credit scenes that see fans all over the world refusing to leave the cinema until they have got a glimpse of what is next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This is no different when it comes to The Fantastic Four: First Steps which finally hits cinemas on 24 July.

With press getting to see the movie on 18 July, early reviews are already circulating online with many calling the brand-new Marvel movie “a cosmic visual feast grounded in family”.

So much so that The Fantastic Four: First Steps debuted with an 88% rating over on Rotten Tomatoes so it seems as though it will go head-to-head with Superman as the best superhero movie of the year.

What sets the movie apart, however, is that it will include two post-credit scenes: one which connects the story to Avengers: Doomsday and the other that offers a more humorous approach.

According to insider MyTimeToShineH, “In The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Marvel originally planned a post‑credits scene with Chris Evans as Nomad coming to warn them.

Then they replaced it with one featuring Doctor Doom. Now, in the final version, there are two post‑credits scenes.”

With Evans reportedly returning to the MCU as Steve Rogers/Captain America in Doomsday, it would make sense for him to appear in the first movie of Phase Six.

This will also be the first time that fans see Robert Downey Jr in action as Doctor Doom ahead of his portrayal as the infamous villain in Avengers: Doomsday.

With the movie not expected to hit cinemas until 18 December 2026, it will be a long time until we experience his story so this is the perfect way to keep the hype until then.

“I think it was the right decision to use Doom instead,” one comment read over on r/LeaksAndRumours.

“Chris Evans’ Nomad (although not really that surprising since some news outlets have already announced his return last year despite not being included in the chair video) would definitely be a more shocking cameo than RDJ Doom.

But using Doom makes more sense cause he's literally the Fantastic Four's archnemesis. And since RDJ playing Doctor Doom is already public knowledge, it would drive hype for this movie and Doomsday.

I think it's for the best to save that other character for Doomsday.”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits cinemas and IMAX on 24 July.
