Marvel Studios boss, Kevin Feige, has been giving out several interviews on the run-up to the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and in one quote, he shares some interesting details on the future of Deadpool.
While Feige has been revealing new information on the future of the MCU, the inclusion of the X-Men in the next phase, what’s going on with the Blade reboot, he also shared that Deadpool 4 may happen after all.
He was, of course, asked about whether Deadpool will be making a comeback after the success of Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024.
It was noted that the exec said, “There have absolutely been discussions,” and followed this up with, “We’re in touch with Ryan a lot. So the answer is yes.”

Whether that’s a yes to a full-on sequel, or a yes to some cameos in the upcoming Avengers films, it’s hard to say.
Given the size of the Deadpool cash cow, it would be hard to see a future without the merc with a mouth, and surely Ryan Reynolds has more appearances in mind.
Marvel will be resetting the MCU after Avengers: Secret Wars, which means all current timelines and universes will be folded into one singular timeline.
Seeing as Deadpool isn’t from Earth-616, and exists outside the supposed timeline, there will have to be some multiverse shenanigans to get the merc over to the MCU as we know it.

After all, he’s still got to meet Thor, and cry in his arms, right?
Nothing more was revealed by Feige, and Ryan Reynolds hasn’t commented on the future of Deadpool for some time, but fans would love to see another adventure.
Perhaps we’ll get another outing as there are plenty of stories to tell for the character, or Marvel could easily set up Gwenpool as a new venture, after a torch is passed.
