'Transformers' Is Headed Back To Cinemas For 15th Anniversary

The iconic 2007 Transformers movie will be returning to cinemas next month.

There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to cinema releases this year. Next month, Thor: Love and Thunder is finally going to be upon us (7 July in the UK, 8 July in the US), so we don’t have long to wait and see if we’re getting any Chris Hemsworth and Pratt on-screen romance (although I wouldn’t hold your breath). Later in the year, we’ve also got DC’s Black Adam, which recently got a really exciting first trailer.

Even with all that lined up, a new film has just entered the ring to blow all the other competition out of the water. Well, it’s not exactly a new film. As reported by ComicBook, it’s just been confirmed that Transformers (2007) is going to be headed back onto the big screen in celebration of its 15th anniversary.

While you're here, be sure to take a look at this incredible Transformers cosplay.

“Fathom Events and Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment are bringing Transformers to movie [theatres] nationwide in celebration of the movie’s 15th Anniversary,” an official statement reads (via ComicBook). “From director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg comes the thrilling blockbuster battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. When their epic struggle comes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by a young man named Sam (Shia LaBeouf). Teaming up Bumblebee, an Autobot disguised as Sam’s car, the heart-pounding race is on, against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before.”

Other than Shia LaBeouf, the iconic film stars, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Anthony Anderson, and Megan Fox, just to name a few. You almost certainly knew that already, of course - I doubt many people will be experiencing this one for the very first time with the re-release.

Regardless of whether you’re a long-term fan or new to the movie (or franchise in general) altogether, though, Transformers will be back in cinemas on 10 July and 14 July.
