The next update for The Witcher 3 will add official modding tools to the game, allowing players to transform the game anyway they please.

I think if you put The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 side by side, and asked fans which one is the better game, Witcher 3 wins almost every time.

Check out The Witcher 3 below.

The mark it left on the industry is still felt today, and it remains one of the best RPGs, and best games in general, of all time.

It’s also bloody enormous, and it gets even larger when you add on the masterfully written DLC expansions.

But now, after players have already lost hours of their time to the game, they’re gearing up to lose plenty more as soon as you'll be able to tweak and twist the game however you like on PC.

This is thanks to official modding tools being added to the game in a future update, allowing players to do whatever they like with the RPG through Steam.

The Witcher 3 REDkit is described on Steam as “a powerful modding tool for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt … that allows you to customise and expand the game as you see fit.”

Some of the changes you can make include: overhauling terrain, creating new quests, player animations, characters, and much more.

There are already plenty of expansion mods you can find online, but with the REDkit you can bet there’ll be plenty more where that came from, and they’ll probably be easier to develop too.

Now you don’t have long to wait until you can tear apart The Witcher 3 and stitch it back together however you please, as the REDkit will be available to all players, for free, on 21 May.
