The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt already comes with its fair share of challenges and difficulties but this amazing gameplay expansion is guaranteed to make things a whole lot harder.

As with the majority of RPGs, players can pick the difficulty they would like to play at and selecting a harder difficulty may result in harder enemies, increased enemies and limited resources for example.

Check out the next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt below!

However, this The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mod adds a whole new thing to worry about: hunger, thirst and sleep.

In Times of War by one Nexus Mods creator does just that by introducing a “realistic survival experience” to the CD Projekt Red title.

“This mod introduces a realistic survival experience, adding three vital needs for Geralt: Hunger, Thirst, and Sleep,” the description reads. “These needs will impact Geralt's well-being and gameplay, requiring you to manage his basic necessities to ensure his survival and success in his adventures.”

As well as battling monsters, searching for Ciri and playing Gwent, Geralt will now have to keep an eye on his needs. Failing to do so will greatly impact the game such as losing items if our Witcher passes out from lack of sleep.

However, it is easy enough to solve with the option to meditate or consume potions to gain energy, eat to decrease hunger and find water to fend off the thirst.

This mod is still in active development but is still available to download and try out for free so if you want another level of difficulty in The Witcher 3, this is the one for you.

If not, you can check out a major combat overhaul which adds Souslike combat to the game or if you just want to give your game a bit of a polish, this next-gen graphics overhaul is a simple solution.
