There’s no shortage of cosplay inspiration in the gaming world. From Charizard to Hades, we’ve seen some incredible creations in recent years. Good cosplays make you double take. The best cosplays don’t even register as cosplays in your mind. That’s how realistic they look, and the latest cosplay to wow us is the latter.

Cosplayer Sandra Miller decided to undertake a cosplay of Ellie from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II. Ah, yes. The game that continues to divide. Whether you adore Joel and Ellie’s latest outing like me, or hate the way the narrative played out, I think we’re all united in acknowledging that the game offered us some incredible cutscenes and imagery - and Sandra has perfectly captured the game’s most notorious moment.

The Last of Us has one of the best openings of all time. Check a look at which other video games made our list.

Sandra’s cosplay saw her recreate the moment Ellie watches on as Joel is murdered at the hands of Abby. Pinned against the ground, a distraught and beaten Ellie is forced to witness Joel’s final breath. It’s quite frankly a bleak moment, but poignant nonetheless and Sandra’s cosplay looks exactly like a screenshot from the game. Take a look below.

In fact, the cosplay is so accurate that she fooled the game’s director Neil Druckmann into thinking it was simply footage from the game. Responding to the cosplay on Twitter, Druckmann wrote: “Hold up. That's cosplay?! So good.” He’s not the only one Sandra fooled, as a whole lot of other people shared his sentiment.

Twitter user ChrisHenares wrote, “Holy s**t, that's a f**king cosplay. I zoom in and it's totally the game graphics. But it's not. Amazing job. You're totally Ellie.” DGalatovich agreed: “My brain is breaking right now. This speaks both to your crazy recreation and to the phenomenal work on the game. Without the hashtag, everyone would think this was just a shot from the game.” In all honesty, I had the exact same reaction, as I did my morning Twitter feed scroll, so fair play Sandra. You fooled me.
